Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pickup and Transfer from Kampala/Entebbe to Queen Elizabeth National Park
At your accommodation or Entebbe International Airport, we pick you up and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. This is 371 kilometers of driving from Kampala to the park in southwestern Uganda. Stop for nice lunch after an equator crossing experience in Kayabwe. Dinner is offered in your lodge for the night while you plan to sleep until the next day.
Day 2: Game Drive and Boat Cruise from 2:00 p.m.
A morning game drive offers great experiences in the plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park. For 2-3 hours, drive on tracks where a lot of animals can be spotted closer to you. Lions, leopards, elephants and buffaloes offer stunning experiences. By 2:00 p.m., you should have finished your lunch and now on a boat cruise. This is on the Kazinga Channel where beautiful birds and dangerous animals can be seen. When we say dangerous we mean crocodiles, hippos and elephants. Some can be seen submerged in water. Enjoy your return to the lodge where dinner is served before you go to bed.
Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi through Ishasha Sector
Get your breakfast and finish it before you think of the departure from Queen Elizabeth National Park. Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, but with a drive through the Ishasha Sector. A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to lay eyes on the tree-climbing lions is here. Where they live, find warthogs, elephants, buffaloes and many other animal species. Now get lunch on the way to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, only 62.2 kilometers away. Check in at the lodge you booked for a chance to relax. Get dinner to spend the night happy.
Day 4: Gorilla Trek
Meet gorillas after a hike across in the dense forest. Do this for an hour in an adventure that lasts between 2 to 6 hours, from start to finish. Watch how the gorillas behave in the forest. Also get insight into their home and the other wildlife species that live there. The rest of the day is better spent at your lodge to rejuvenate and refresh. At the end of the day, spend the night in your bed after dinner.
Day 5: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. Boat Cruise
In the morning, while it is cold outside, take breakfast before you check out of the lodge to exit the forest. The journey to Lake Bunyonyi covers 139 kilometers through Kabale. Check in at the lodge and ensure that you head to the lake after lunch. Just cruise on Lake Bunyonyi in a motorboat to get all the best views of bird species. Twenty-nine islands float on the lake and breathtaking views of them all are got from the boat. A nature walk on one Island is a chance to view more birds and as well as wild mammals. Interact with the local people you find on the island. Get back to the boat and then to your lodge. Comfortably have dinner and then enjoy the cool breeze during your overnight stay.
Day 6: Transfer from Lake Bunyonyi to Kampala
Begin with breakfast after your sleep. A long journey to Kampala covers 449 kilometers from the lake. Stop for lunch before you proceed to the city for drop-off in the evening. Whether in your hotel or at Entebbe International Airport your 6 days Uganda gorilla safari ends that very moment.
