Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park from Kampala. Track Rhinos in Ziwa
Once our guide has picked you up from within Kampala or Entebbe, you embark on a 234 kilometer transfer. This is to Murchison Falls National Park, with lunch offered before you arrive. Also, before you arrive branch off the road to Ziwa Rhino and Wildlife Ranch for a tour. Track rhinos, that live in the wild to see how they behave under close supervision. Leave the place to resume the journey to your destination. Enter the park and go to the lodge you booked for check in. Get a happy welcome with dinner ready in the evening. After dinner you can sleep at any time.
Day 2: Game Drive. Nile Boat Cruise in the afternoon
Wake up and take the breakfast already prepared at the lodge. After an encounter with one member of the Big Five yesterday, you watch the other 4 here. A morning game drive in the northern sector is where lions, leopards, buffaloes and elephants are easier to see. Aside from these hartebeests, oribis, bushbucks and warthogs can be seen effortlessly. Then get lunch with an afternoon boat cruise next. On the Nile river start from a place called Paraa and cruise towards the falls. Do not limit yourself to the Murchison Falls views, also watch crocodiles and hippos in the water. Around them are waterbucks, elephants, baboons and others. In your lodge get your food in a plate to eat before the overnight stay.
Day 3: Transfer to Kibale National Park
A transfer to Kibale National Park happens in the third morning of the 8 days Uganda wildlife safari. In the car, cover all the 253 kilometers of transfer with lunch given to you. Arrive and check in at the lodge found somewhere in the forest. Rest for the night but not without food served in the evening.
Day 4: Morning Chimp Trek. Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
A morning chimpanzee trek is the best, especially when you have taken breakfast at the lodge. Meet the chimpanzees in the wild and watch them move from one tree to another for an hour. Transfer from Kibale National Park to Queen Elizabeth National Park. This is just 75.1 kilometers of driving in a comfortable safari car. Meanwhile, you pass through the city, lovely countryside and lovely scenery of crater lakes and rift valley escarpment. Enter the savannah park and see a lot of animals in the Mweya area. Check in at your lodge where the rest of the meals are served. In the night, feel free to sleep until you wake up early the next day.
Day 5: Game Drive in Kasenyi and Launch Trip on Kazinga Channel
Enjoy the views of savannah wildlife in Kasenyi where 4 of the Big 5 call home. Apart from lions, elephants, leopards and buffaloes, warthogs and fast antelopes etc. exist. Visit Kazinga Channel after lunch for a launch trip on calm waters. With your binoculars, get views of birds and large animals like crocodiles and hippos. Still in a relaxed mood head to your lodge for more, even while you dine. Sleep in peace until the next day.
Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi through Ishasha Sector
If you drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, the distance to cover on the road is 172 kilometers. So check out after breakfast and first explore Ishasha enroute. The possibility to encounter tree-climbing lions is high. That part of Queen has a lot of beautiful sights apart from lions. Also, elephants, antelopes, warthogs and buffaloes get space for shelter there. Continue to Bwindi, with lunch provided enroute. Relax at the lodge while the staff prepare your dinner to eat. Sleep in the night.
Day 7: Gorilla Trek in the Morning
Pack some lunch after breakfast in your lodge. Track a group of gorillas, habituated to tolerate the presence of humans for an hour. Return to the lodge for relaxation and a chance to work out. Dinner is surely served later on, usually around dusk. You need some sleep after a tiring day of adventure. End the seventh day of your 8 days Uganda wildlife safari.
Day 8: Drive Back to Kampala. End of Safari
In the morning have breakfast and transfer to Kampala with enroute lunch on the 509 kilometer route. Drop-off is anywhere you prefer; accommodation or Entebbe International Airport. This now wraps the 8 days Uganda wildlife safari.
